In celebration of Women’s History Month, Society For The Advancement Of The Caribbean Diaspora (SACD) invites the community to a panel discussion on “Women and the Law” with a panel of distinguished legal minds on Saturday, April 6, 2013 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at St. Francis College, in Founders Hall which is located at 182 Remsen Street, Brooklyn, New York.

The panel will discuss the following: History of women and the law, Reproductive Freedom, Women in the Workplace, the Family, Women in the Legal Profession, Immigration, Domestic Violence and Rape. The members of the panel are the Honorable Judge Evelyn Laporte, Attorneys Leslie Jones Thomas, Renée J. Tello and Lola Oguntunde. The moderator is Dr. Shirley Innis, Psychologist.

Members of the audience will have an opportunity to pose questions to members of the panel. Refreshments will be served compliments of Golden Krust Caribbean Bakery and Grill.
